Buena Vista Combo Tour

Spend a fun filled day at Buena Vista Lodge near Rincon de la Vieja (volcano) National Park .  This tour is one of the most popular and is a great way to do a lot of fun things all in one day. 

Pick-up is at 8 A.M. from your hotel. From there we will drive through the Guanacaste countryside arriving at Buena Vista.

 

Start off with a canopy tour high in the trees, then move on to an exhilarating waterslide through the forest. 

After working up an appetite enjoy a full Costa Rican buffet lunch including chicken, beef, fish, salads of all kinds, dessert, and refreshing beverages. 

Later, take a horseback ride with awesome mountain views seeing iguanas and gorgeous butterflies. 

 

 

You will continue the day at the natural spa applying a mineral rich mud treatment to your skin and soaking in the wonderfully soothing hot springs.

After the tour you will be taken back to your hotel and arrive around 4:30 P.M.

Palo Verde National Park River Cruise

Because the river feeds into the Pacific Ocean, the time of day that you will do this tour will depend on time of the ocean's high tide.  The day before the tour, you will be notified at your hotel of the pick-up time.

Once you are picked-up at your hotel, you will be taken through the farm lands of Filadelfia and arrive at the river's edge

 

The multiple passenger river boat will take you on a two hour cruise, exploring the mangroves and spotting wildlife.

You will have a chance to see the many animals that live in or around the river, including: howler monkeys, whiteface monkeys, crocodiles, bats, frogs, and many different species of birds.

 

After the cruise you will be taken to dine in a restaurant and served a delicious Costa Rican meal, family style. 

The lunch includes beverages and dessert.  When you have eaten, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Corobici River Float and Las Pumas

The Corobici River Float and Las Pumas Tour is a chance to see the exotic jungle environment and wildlife of Costa Rica. This tour begins with pick-up at your hotel at 8:00 A.M.  We then drive through the beautiful countryside of Guanacaste, and pass Liberia, it’s capital. 

Our first stop is the Corobici River where you will climb in the eight person professional raft and set out for a two-hour guided float down the easy flowing Corobici River. Keep your eyes open for many different species of birds, howler and white face monkeys, crocodiles and other wildlife that call the banks of the Corobici their home. Bottles of cold water will be provided on the raft.

 

The next stop is the Las Pumas Animal Refuge.  Here you will see the six different species of wild cats found in Costa Rica along with other animals such as toucans, parrots, and grey foxes.  

After, we will head over to the Rincon Corobici Restaurant and you will be served a traditional Costa Rican lunch including fresh fruit juice.

On the way back to the hotel you will have the option to stop off for souvenirs near Liberia.

After this you will be taken back to your hotel arriving around 3 P.M.

Hiking at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano

Enjoy the day hiking and exploring Rincon de la Vieja National Park. 

On this two and one half hour hike you will get a chance to see the two very distinct dry and wet forest environments as Rincon’s 1,916 meter summit towers above you.

 

Around ever corner there are hidden lakes, streams, boiling mud pits, and steaming fumaroles. 

There are 250 different species of birds that inhabit the area, as do many mammals. 

You may see a spider monkey in the trees...

 

or a toucan peeking out through the brush. 

This tour includes roundtrip transportation from any hotel on the North Pacific coast, all National Park entrance fees, snacks and bottles of cold water to quench your thirst.

Llanos de Cortez Waterfall

Escape to the secluded Llanos de Cortez Waterfall.  You will most likely have this hidden treasure all to yourself.

The 40ft wide and 30ft. high spectacle cascades down the front of a brilliant green backdrop and washes into a white sand pond.

After you swim and climb on the rocks to get behind the waterfall enjoy a picnic of snacks and beverages all included.

Liberia Shopping Tour

Spend the the day exploring Liberia, the "White City" which is the capital of Guanacaste.

Buy Costa Rican crafts and artwork in the many shops that line the streets.  Eat lunch on a terrace overlooking the beautiful central park.

Visit the famous "Calle Real"  a colonial street where you can see typical Costa Rican homes from the 1800's.  On the way home we stop off at Kaltak, a Costa Rican crafts market in Guardia where you can finish up your shopping.

Arenal

Join us for a full day starting with pick-up from your hotel at 7:30 A.M. 

Enjoy the beautiful scenery as we drive through the Guanacaste countryside. 

We will make a stop at the breathtaking Lake Arenal for great photo opportunities. 

 

Arrival at the Arenal Volcano will be at about 11:30 A.M.  From then until 4 P.M. you will be free to eat lunch in the restaurant and relax in the hot springs gazing at the wonderful view of Arenal.

Later, we will make the drive back and you will arrive at your hotel about 7 - 8 P.M.
